Sunday Bus Walks – Danby, North Yorks

Longer Walk 

Route: Danby, Beacon Hill, Elm Ledge, Robin Hood’s Butts, Foul Green, Castleton, Danby.

Distance: 12 miles with 1,600 ft. of ascent.

Description: Mostly moorland track and some lanes.

Middle Walk 

Route: Danby, Danby Low Moor, Scaling Reservoir, Essington High Moor, Danby Beacon, Oakley Side, Ainthorpe, Danby.

Distance: 11 miles with 1,000  ft. of ascent.

Walk Leader: Mick Johns

Shorter Walk 

Route: Starting at the National Park Visitor Centre, a gentle climb up to Danby Low Moor, a rough moorland path to Siss Cross then following the good track west to Three Hows Rigg and Moorside before heading down to join the Esk Valley walk back to Danby.

Distance: 9 miles with 900 ft. of ascent.
