Sunday Bus Walks – Ripon, North Yorks

Longer Walk
Route: Ripon, River Skell, Ripon Rowell Walk, Ingerthorpe, Fountains Bridge, Studley Park and return.
Distance: 12 miles with 900 ft. of ascent.
Description: Good tracks and paths throughout; some field and lane walking through hamlets with opulent Halls and Granges and beautiful countryside throughout.

Middle Walk
Route: Ripon, Whitcliffe Hall, Galand Bridge, Monk Wall, Sawley, Spring Wood, Ripon Rowell Walk, Studley Roger, back to Ripon
Distance: 11 Miles with 700 ft. of ascent.
Description: Roads, fields and tracks. Reasonably flat.

Shorter Walk
Route: Heading SW from Ripon the walk follows the River Skell through Hell Wath Nature Reserve past Whitcliffe Hall onward toward Hill House Farm and onto Fountains Lane. Turning north east past Fountains Abbey Visitor Centre, through Studley Royal Deer Park and Studley Roger before following the River Skell back to Ripon.
Distance: 8.3 Miles with 650 ft. of ascent.
Description: The walk comprises field walking, paths and tracks.
