Route: Car park, River Derwent, Fieldhead, Burnmill, Blue House, Hammermill, Smallburn Plantation, Carterway Heads, Crow Wood, Orchard Field, Bulbeck Cottage, Hole Row, Car Park.
Distance: 9 miles with 900 ft. of ascent.
A riparian and sylvan aspect to the walk, mainly the River Derwent with the plentiful wildlife to be seen. Then the splendid selection of wooded areas with an abundant diversity of tree species. Some lovely scenery to be seen from the rolling hillsides.
