PLEASE NOTE WHEN TRAVELLING TO HAMSTERLEY VIA SAUNDERS AVENUE THE ROAD IS CLOSED AT THE A68.

Meet for a 10.00 am start to the walk in Hamsterley Village.

There is ample parking in the village, parking to the East end is appreciated by the residents.

Route: Hamsterley Village, Howlea Bridge, Bedburn Old Hall, Ornamental Drive, Cliff Sike Gill, Stanhope Lane (Track), Hoppyland Farm, Carrwood Hill, Spa Wells, Adder Wood, Village.

Distance: 9 miles with 1,000 ft. of ascent.

Description: This is an excellent walk on good tracks & paths in a scenic area of Co. Durham. Walking from the village a gentle descent to Bedburn Beck passing through the facilities area ( toilets available) along through the North end of Hamsterley Forest.
