Route: Slaley by St. Mary’s church, Holly Hill, Shieldhall, Pethfoot Bridge, Folly Plantation, Devil’s Water, Redlead Mill, Low Rawgreen, Viewly, Slaggy Hill, Ned’s Lost Plantation,Spring House, Cocklake, Lead Road, East Ridley Hall, Slaley.

Distance: 9.50 Miles with 900 ft. of ascent.

Description: This is an undulating walk with a descent to the Devil’s Water and later on the ascent towards Slaley Forest.

There are good tracks throughout, with a stroll along Devil’s Water,  an amble through Slaley Forest and some field and road walking. This is a fabulous walk with views of  Hexhamshire and the surrounding area.
