Sunday Bus Walk – Warkworth, Northumberland

Bus departs at 8.30 am.

Longer Walk

Route: Warkworth, New Hall, Hope House, High Hauxley, Hauxley Nature Reserve, English Coastal Path, Amble harbour, New Barns, Mill Wood Walk, Warkworth.

A largely flat walk, through fields, along the beach and coastal path, finishing with views of the castle from the river.

Distance: 13 miles.

Middle Walk

Route: Warkworth, Amble Harbour, Northumberland Coast Path, High Hauxley, Hauxley Moorhouse Farm, Hope House, North Togston, St Oswald’s Way, New Barns, Warkworth.

A flat walk through fields, tracks and sand dunes/beach.

Distance: 10.6 miles with 400 ft. of ascent.

Shorter Walk

Route: Warkworth, High Buston, Bilton, Alnmouth, St. Oswald Way, Warkworth.

A walk of fields, tracks, lanes and coastal path. Involves a steady climb up to High Buston.

Distance: 9 miles with 200 ft. of ascent.
