Meet for a 10.00am start to the walk.
Parking at Broompark picnic area which can be accessed from the B6302 off Broom Lane.

Route: Picnic Area, Deerness Valley ( Railway Path), Flass Lodge, Hag House Farm, Esh, Ushaw College (Heritage Centre), Lodge Farm, Lanchester (Railway Path), West Broom Farm, Picnic Area.
Distance: 9.50 Miles with 800 ft. of ascent.
This is a relatively easy walk around 30% is on the old railway track.
Once out of the valley the views open out to some great swathes of Co. Durham.
